Using technology for learning and gathering information can sometimes be confusing. In this section, we have gathered some resources for you, which we hope will make that process easier.

Honor Graduate Policy

The Calcasieu Parish School System honor graduate policy consists of two requirements: the Cumulative Grade Point Average and the Honor Graduate Requirements.

Cumulative Grade Point Average

The GPA used for determination of honors is calculated on a 5.0 GPA scale. Awards are as follows:

Summa Cum Laude: 3.90-4.00+ GPA
Magna Cum Laude: 3.70-3.89 GPA
Cum Laude: 3.50-3.69 GPA

Honor Graduate Requirements

Starting with the entering freshmen of 2025-2026 (meet requirements in all bullets)

· Met or Exceeded: State LEAP growth target for Algebra I, Geometry, English I, and English II

· Met or Exceeded 1 of these: ACT of 20 OR WorkKeys Gold OR ASVAB of 59+

· Met or Exceeded 1 of these: TOPS-Aligned AP Exam Score of 3 OR ACT Math of 25 OR ACT English score of 26 OR Basic Bundle OR Advanced JumpStart Credential OR Military Acceptance Letter OR 6 hours TOPS Dual Enrollment with a “C” or better

For the entering freshmen of 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 (meet requirements in both bullets)

· Met or Exceeded 1 of these: ACT of 20 OR WorkKeys of Gold OR ASVAB of 59+

· Met or exceeded 1 of these: TOPS-Aligned AP Exam Score of 3 OR ACT Math of 25 OR ACT English score of 26 OR Basic Bundle OR Advanced JumpStart Credential OR Military Acceptance Letter OR 6 hours TOPS Dual Enrollment with a “C” or better

For the entering freshmen of 2022-2023 (meet requirements in one of the of two bullets for Honor Graduate status and meet requirements in both bullets for Distinguished Honor Graduate status)
