At DeQuincy High School 4-H students have the opportunity to grow a garden, compete in cookery contests, shooting sports, public speaking opportunities, as well as, serving the community in various ways. |

This is a National Organization that promotes the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among elementary and secondary school students. To be eligible, a student must have at least a 3.0 GPA, be a positive role model, and exhibit positive character traits. A delegation attends District, State, and National Conventions where they compete in academic, talent, and leadership competitions. |

Board Game Club |
The objectives of this organization shall be to increase student interest in board games, to encourage the improvement in critical thinking skills, and to teach others how to interact cooperatively. |

Future Farmers of America (FFA) | FFA is a dynamic youth organization that changes lives and prepares members for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. Members are future farmers, chemists, veterinarians, government officials, entrepreneurs, bankers, international business leaders, teachers and premier professionals in many career fields. |

Library Club |
The DHS library club is affiliated with the Louisiana Teen-aged Librarians Association. The club meets regularly to discuss books and perform library related duties. The group attends the Louisiana Book Festival each November as well as the LTLA conference in February. |

Quiz Bowl | Quiz Bowl is an academic club that competes in tournaments which test students knowledge of a variety of academic subjects. |

Student Council | The Student Council at DeQuincy High School serves as the voice of the student body, fostering school spirit, promoting student welfare, and encouraging leadership and responsibility among students. Members of the council plan and organize school events, participate in community service projects, and work closely with faculty and administration to address student needs and concerns. The council is dedicated to creating a positive and inclusive environment, ensuring all students feel represented and empowered to contribute to the school community. |

Yearbook | The DeQuincy High School Yearbook, DeCalla, is fully created and designed by students. Yearbook students are responsible for taking and editing photos of all DeQuincy High School events, designing the cover of the yearbook, creating a theme, designing all pages, and selling business and student ads. Students can apply to join Yearbook during their junior or senior year. |

Youth For Christ (YFC) | Youth For Christ is interdenominational Christian club that's purpose is to give all students an opportunity to fellowship, serve, and be challenged by God's word. It is a daily opportunity for the freedom of the expression of faith, while also providing a platform for all students to learn about Christ, no matter what they believe or profess. |
